    Hello all,

I am looking to upgrade the firmware on my new WRT54G. My three most desired features are:

    1) Signal Boost - I would like to adjust the singal on the hotspot to try to get a little extra range/performance

    2) WPA/WPA-PSK - I would like to use WPA on my network for added security.

    3) Bridge mode - I have a NetScreen (Juniper) security device that I would like to remain on my network. I would like the hotspot to connect to this device and be in a bridge mode so that it pulls the IPs from thet NetScreen. My old Microsoft 802.1b router had this option, but I am not sure what firmware on the linksys will give me this functionality. If there is an alternative to this that would allow me to use the wireless functionality on the LinkSys, while maintaining the firewall functionality of the NetScreen, I would be open to that as well.

As always, any input is appreciated.

    1) any custom firmware will do this
    2) any custom firmware written with the latest linksys code will do this
    3) the linksys firmware has the wireless and the 4 port switch bridged by default so all you need to do is plug your device into any of the lan ports and turn off the linksys DHCP server for that, if you have custom firmware you can move ports between vlans and bridge whatever you want though.
