Blocking IPs at the router?? Now why doesnt linksys come with this ability? Does anyone know of a way to block at the router? Unfortunantly, I do have the v5 of WRT54G and from what I read, this is one to stay away from.

I have the same question... I just bought a WRT54GL to replace my Dlink D104. The Dlink can block IP's but not the Linksys...:frown:

You could try 3rd party firmware like dd-wrt. wrt54 v5 and wrt gl both are supported. Not only support blocking IP, but much more

Thanks... I got it working with DD-WRT23sp2.. Took a little time to figure out that the commands...
    iptables -I FORWARD -d XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX -j DROP
    iptables -I FORWARD -d XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX -j DROP
    iptables -I FORWARD -d XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX -j DROP
Go into "save firewall", but now all is fine as pings show no connectivity.:)
