 Whose idea was it to buy the ex-Mrs and kids a wireless router for Christmas? I spent the whole of Boxing Day trying to get the Linksys working including 2 hours (count 'em) on the phone to the Phillipines or wherever it is that this division of Cisco keep their non-speaking, rude un-help Help staff. Whatever, the bottom line here is that with the router configured (and I've got one of these at home so I've done this before) one laptop can't see the router while the other keeps going from Excellent signal strength to average to low to none and back again in 45 seconds. The difference between mine and this one is NTL. I've tried both laptops next to the router and the router doesn't appear to see any other units barring my own (i.e. I don't think it's the neighbours) Anyone got any idea of what would cause the signal strength to fluctuate so wildly? (assuming the equipment isn't faulty) And any idea of what I can do to investigate what is going on?
