    Talisman features list

Here is the best list I could find that lists what is meant to be available in Talisman.

    Wireless Modes
    AP - Access Point

Client-Routed - router's WAN device acts as a wireless client to a remote AP, clients behind the router are fully protected by the firewall.

Client-Bridged - router attaches to a remote access point as a wireless client

Repeater - router acts as a wireless client to a remote AP and a local Access Point simultaneously

    Adhoc - wireless Adhoc mode

    Wireless VLANs
Multiple SSID's are supported each with their own encryption method and keys

1-16 VLANs are supported. Each of the Ethernet ports can be dedicated to one or more VLANs

    Access Restrictions & QoS
Separate SPI firewall rulesets can be built interactively for each interface.

Additionally QoS rulesets can be added for each interface.

QoS and firewall rules can be built with any combination of:

    IP address
    Time of Day
    Day of Week
    Services (VoIP, P2p; etc)
    WWW Keyword
    Bytes Transferred

VPN passhthrough and onboard PPTP server support

    Status DHCP address assignment support

    Onboard DNS caching server

    Read-Write Storage
Read-write storage area for easy customization
Installable packages for easy-install custom features

    Advanced Routing
BGP, OSPF, RIP2 and Static routing supported

are multiple wan ports supported? looking through the firmware real quick, it looks like i can assign one of the ports to the wan. is that true?

You could assign a LAN port as a WAN port but getting it to function is not that straight forward from what others have posted in the past.

Has anyone tried this? I'm curious about the PPTP client on it. How does it compare to Tomato?

"The Downloads are available upon registration to the forums."

I still can't download after registering for the forums. Do we NEED to pay for the support before being able to download?

Its located in the "downloads section" under public firmware and you do not have to purchase support for the public version.
