    Hello Everyone,

Month's ago, I bricked a WRT54G ver1.1 hardware( during xmas -- might have been a God Send, because it kept everyone off the internet and socially engaged! ).

Finally got to working on it again. I noticed that there is no way to get a comm port on there, because there isn't a uart.

So finally I got it into work, and put a flash socket on the router. I noticed several things on the flash image:
from 0x0000 to 0x0500 it is zero, except for something at offset 0x00 and 0x01.

In retrospect, I believe my brickness is severe max. I don't think there is a valid boot image on there, not that I could see. I see at the end of flash, that it is filled with 0xff. That means the flash must be cleared/blank at the end. There must be a location where the boot starts from. Usually at the beginner or absolute end of flash.

Unless I'm missing something ( like the first instruction in the flash is a jump at offset 0x00 ), I don't even think there is a valid boot image.

Can anyone help? I have available a WRT54G ver1.1, with flash socket, and a flash burner. However, I don't see from the linksys download images that there is a bootloader within the image, expecially if it starts at 0x3f0000.

    Thanks much,
    Benny
