    Hi,

The events that led up to the brick:
The router was running Tomato 1.28 just fine. It's in fairly excellent condition. The address to it before it bricked was 192.168.222.1/255.255.255.0. One day, the power went out and it got stuck in power LED flashing mode for the past several months. I have tried hard reset to no avail. Connecting a computer to one of the ports will show activity, but you cannot ping the router.

Current status of the WRT54GS v.2:
It's new years and one of my resolutions is to unbrick this fine specimen. I have a USB JTAG hooked to it with the USB JTAG NT 0.34a software open. I am able to detect the chip and retrieve the following:
    Copyright http://www.usbjtag.com 2008,2009,2010
    USB JTAG NT 0.34a
    -detect
    IDCODE 1471217F
    Broadcom BCM4712
    IMPCODE 00800904
    EJTAG V1, V2.0
    DMA supoorted
    Found Address= 9fc00000 Intel 28F640J3

Does anyone have the experience to guide me through the rest of the procedure? Please let me know if I have left out any other important detail for you to help. I am completely green.

    Thanks.

After 5 hours of tweaking, I've gotten the router into a state where I can ping it. How do I TFTP a compatible firmware into the router from one of it's LAN ports? :)
