I have a 'up to' 50 Mbps download Internet connection and am looking to extend my wireless network. I am using Tomato on all my networking devices (router and AP's). My first attempt was to use 2 WRT54G 'G' speed AP's running WDS. That gave me decent and stable connectivity - but at a penalty of a lower bandwidth due I suppose to the bandwidth loss inherent in WDS. I next tried a couple of Cisco Valet M10 'N' speed AP's again running in WDS mode and doubled the download speed (from 5 Mbps to 10 Mbps). I am wondering if I was to try a 'Client or Wireless bridge' somehow connected to a wireless AP (to provide wireless connectivity for the devices at the far end) if that would remove the losses associated with WDS and increase the net throughput I tried doing a Wireless Bridge on the Cisco 'N' AP's - which worked - and did give me a faster connection but I could not figure out how to set up or configure the (3'rd) AP at the far end as a wireless AP. All tips appreciated.
