bridged mode ADSL2MUE and DD-WRT running in PPPOE

I'm trying to get DD-WRTv23 working with the Linksys ADSL2 modem by putting the modem in bridge mode and setting the router to run PPPOE (which the ADSL2MUE would normally be running by default)

Why I'd like to do this is so that I can ssh in direct to the WRT54GS from the WAN side rather than the modem. So I set the modem to bridged mode and the login dialogue prompts disappear which seems ok as I understand the router should be handling this once PPOE is set. However, when I enable PPOE in the admin tab of DD-WRT no corresponding username/passwd details pops up. I have searched through all the other menu areas to find where I input this but I am at a loss. I'm starting to think I have misunderstood this and my settings are wrong but if anyone else has DD-WRT working with ADSL2UME I'd be interested to know how they did it.

Do not enable anything in the admin page to set this up, select PPPoE at the setup page. Insure you also turn off dhcp on the adsl router. If the DD-WRT firmware acts odd, do a nvram factory reset by holding the reset button in the back for approx. 30 seconds. Hope this helps.

Superb - as I suspected it was me being stupid. That was just the answer I was looking for. Thanks
