Buffalo WHR-HP-54G Transmit Power

    I have a Buffalo WHR-HP-54G running Tomato v1.19.
    I currently have the transmit power set to 32mW.
    What is the highest I can go (without burning out or overheating) and the optimal setting to set
    this to?

    Nobody will ever guarantee "not burning out or overheating", but the max effective setting is around 64 - 68. V24 dd-wrt defaults to 70 and while there have been a couple of people claim that it burned out their Buffalo, if it were truly the case, we should be hearing many more complaints.

    I run mine at 32. Anything higher and the weaker clients wouldn't be able to return the signal anyway so what's the point?

    Ok, thanks man.
    I just changed from Tomato to DD-WRT. I like both, but I'm gonna stay with DD-WRT. Like some of the add features. :)
