Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 slows down after a day

Running Victek's Tomato RAF 1.25.8515.2 ND. My connection is a 30/5 connection.

Normally I get 32Mbps down - after a day I get stuck at 24Mbps. A reboot of the router lets me get full 32Mbps down again.

I tried updating to just regular Tomato 1.28 as well and had the same problem. Any ideas?

Thinking of trying Teddybear's Tomato or maybe DD-WRT.

I am using DD-Wrt, With a BiQuad antenna, And I loose my download speed every 1
or 2 days, and I have to do a 30-30-30-hard reset, and rest all my settings to make it a repeater, Then my speed comes back, but only for a few days, then it's reset time, I tried Tomato, but couldn't get the settings right for it to work with BiQuad....

Your wan speeds may be beyond the hardware capabilities. What are your cpu usage values, the amount of free memory, and the # of active connection states.
Seriously consider a faster Tomato router w/ 500+ Mhz CPU.

Repeaters, I've found to be unreliable under dd-wrt, and openwrt (when I tried it). Memory leak??... Anyhow, just buy an extra router...and avoid the vap mess..

I'm thinking of the ASUS RT-N16.

    CPU Load (1 / 5 / 15 mins) 0.03 / 0.03 / 0.00
    Total / Free Memory 14.14 MB / 7,980.00 KB (55.13%)
    CPU Frequency (MHz) 200

    172 connections currently tracked

This is right after a reboot giving me ~34Mbps down and 4.95 Mbps up.

Before the reboot - I had 313 connections tracked - and 7MB of RAM free. CPU Load was nominal.

Just loaded latest DD-WRT for WHR-HP-G54. I hate the interface compared to Victek's Tomato - but we'll see how it fares tomorrow.

    Well, DD-WRT fixed my problem.

    Uptime: 1 day, 21:35

    No slowdown, whatsoever.
