    I have an epson Stylus CS5400 connected to a WPS54GU2 through USB. It's a printer/copier/scanner.

Is there anyway to use the scanner function thought the WPS54GU2 server?

    Thanks in adavance,
    Mac

Most multi-function printer/copier/scanner do not even work as a printer with printservers. They ar usually to complex for a printserver to work with them If you got it to work as a printer count yourself lucky. I doubt it will work as a scanner, since there is not functionality in the driver for that function.

    Wps54gu2

Most likely it will not work since the wps54gu2 is only a PRINT server and nothing else.

I tried similar when I attempted to network my HP Officejet K80xi using a Linksys PSUS4 (Ethernet to USB converter).

The Linksys PSUS4 device didn't support the 'two-way' communication over the network like a direct connection to the all-in-one device (printing still worked fine).

So, I ended up purchase a 'supported' HP JetDirect device, and then the scanning, fax, etc worked over the Ethernet.

Check out the manufactuer's website to see what networking devices they recommend... you could always put a WET54G in front of a Ethernet device to make it wireless.
