Can curl or nsupdate be installed on a WRT54GL?

I want to make use of DDNS, but the problem is I run my own nameserver and do not have an account with any of the popular DDNS providers most firmware authors like to support out-of-the-box. I can trigger an update through a web form or through nsupdate directly, and would like to have an ip-up script on the router do this for me. Unfortunately, neither curl nor nsupdate are installed anywhere that I can see.

    So my questions are:

    1. Is there enough space on the WRT54GL v 1.1 (Firmware Version: v4.71.1, Hyperwrt 2.1b1 + Thibor15c) to install either of these tools?

    2. If so, how should I go about compiling them to run on Linksys hardware?
