    Hi,
read through the forum, and couldnt get it to work, best advice i found was this:

    iptables -I FORWARD -d <195.248.xx.xxx> -j drop

So im supposed to type that into the firewall script window?
Anyways i tried it, doesnt work. Is there any way to block an adress that is constantly pinging my open ports ? An example would be greatly appreciated.

Try the following line in your firewall script:

    iptables -A INPUT -s 195.148.xxx.xxx -j drop

where 195.148.xxx.xxx is the IP address you want to block.

Thank you for the advice, however it did not work either, the packets still pass through the firewall :?

    i punched

    iptables -A INPUT -s 195.148.xxx.xxx -j drop

into the firewall window and clicked save, hope that is the correct way to go about with this thing. (xxx substituting numbers). It should be working as far as i can telll.

Its no biggie, but it bugs me to have to run a software firewall in addition to the otherwise functional WRT54G firewall.
