Can QuickVPN route all traffic through WRV200?

Discussion in 'Cisco Small Business Routers and VPN Solutions' started by hansdejongehv, Jan 5, 2008.

  1. I have not been able to find a spec what QuickVPN is exactly supposed to do, hence I pose the question here.

I have been able to get QuickVPN 1.2.8 working on my laptop towards a WRV200 with rel 1.0.39 at home. I can access a PC on my local network from the remote laptop.

However what I want is to route all traffic from the laptop through my WRV200. So e.g. if on the remote PC I access www.google.com, I want that all traffic is routed through the VPN to my WRV200 and that then the WRV200 routes the traffic to the internet.

Purpose of this is to provide security when I use my laptop on untrusted (wireless) networks. I also want to easily switch between routing everything through the VPN or using the internet connection as is if I am working in trusted places.

    My questions:
    1) Is QuickVPN able to do this?
    2) If so, what should I do to realise this?
    3) If not, what other solution is there to reach my goal?
    4) Is the WRV200 capable of routing traffice from the VPN to the internet?

    Can anyone help?
