Can someone compile this for me?

Linksys released a new sourcecode for the WRT54GL (Version 4.30.5) on this page www.linksys.com/gpl and as you know the firmware for this router also work on the WRT54G (same hardware).

Since I just like to always have the "latest", and I really don't know how to do it myself, could someone compile it for me? From what I gathered from a chat with linksys, the new codebase fix the same upnp issue as the latest wrt54gs firmware (+ other things), but the person who I chatted with did not know if it was ever going to be released as a binary.

Anyway, if someone can do it, it'll be greatly apreciated!

    Here the direct link:

Or can someone explain me how to do it? or point me to a guide? I searched but found nothing :(

First, do you have a linux PC? if you dont, thats the first thing you will need.

Once that is done, install the toolchain (directions are inside the tarball)

Then run make from the src directory.

You will need several libraries installed, and typically I have found that gcc 2.96 (or is it 2.95?) works fine, but gcc4.0.0+ is buggy.

OK I'll try that... do you recommend a Linux distro more than another for that?
