I just got my WRT54GS v3 (from auction) and upgraded it to the latest Linksys FW to get a fresh start. Rebooted, then upgraded to the latest Tomato FW, configured everything and was having trouble with some settings, several reboots along the way. I rebooted and reverted to the latest stock Linksys FW. After I got everything working great, I rebooted and flashed back to the Tomato FW. Yes I know... a lot of back and forth stuff. Now, I cannot manage my AP whatsoever. I am actually posting this right now through the AP. I have both wired and wireless settings with full connectivity. I cannot ping the AP or anything, but it definitely passes all my traffic. I was playing with WDS and it was set as a "router" not my gateway. So, my Dynamic IPs are still be achieved from my parent AP, where the linksys is a child AP. After running WireShark, all the traffic seems normal. I can even get a duplicate IP on my network if I change my laptop's IP to the Linksys AP's IP. The ARP table proves that there is an IP on my Linksys AP. I simply cannot manage it via TELNET, HTTP, etc... Help?

After changing firmwares you should clear nvram. Hold the reset button on the back of the router until it starts flashing. This will clear nvram and reboot the router. When it comes back up you should be able to manage it at (if that conflicts with the parent router, be sure to unplug them from each other). Of course, the PC used for management will need to be on the same subnet, so either manually assign a 192.168.1.X address or release renew DHCP.
