Can the WRTSL54GS use the HGA7S?

    Can the WRTSL54GS use the HGA7S?

    sorry to say, but the antenna on the SL is not removeable.

    If you open it, you'll see the antenna lead going straight up into the antenna. Not a big problem though, take a few dollars and buy a RP-SMA or RP-TNC connector. Get a friend with soldering skills to cut the antenna lead and solder it to the connector. Then you can do whatever you want.

    The builtin antenna seems to do a pretty decent job though, I have it atop a shelf and it seems to cover a 2BR/1A house and out into the yard.
