Heres an odd one. I have a new WRT54G v2 and used it without incident for one month. Last week I loaded the dd-wrt v22 r2 and all of a sudden could not access certain sites - they just timed out:

even google crapped out on me a few times.

I have a winxp machine, a mac mini, and an ubuntu box and they all had the exact same problem. This pretty much points the finger at my router or my service provider.

So, I try the latest freeman basic. Same problem.

I flash back to the standard Linksys firmware. Problem sovled.

Id like to use the enhanced features of dd-wrt but not at the expense of certain sites. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Did you hold the reset button for 30 sec to reset the router to defaults after flashing?

Yes, I followed all the instructions exactly as posted.

I had a similar problem with another router - I changed the default auto mtu setting (1500) to 1492 and it solved my problem. Try that?

I'll try the MTU thing this week. Could it be that simple? Why wouldn't that be the default setting?
