Using a WPC54g v3 and a WRTG54g v5.1, when I power up my computer it does not connect to my network automatically. I can unplug my wireless card and reinsert it and it connects and off I go. I am using Charter High Speed Internet. I previously had a D-Link b network and this was not a problem. Did I miss something in the setup? What can I do? Input is appreciated.

Have you set your Wireless to "G only"?
Do you have Win XP? If you do, you could try disabling the Wireless Zero Configuration service and installing the WPC client utility...

Thank you for your reply. I am not configured for "g-only", I am currently configured for "mixed". What WPC utility are you referring to? Is it the Odyssey client that appears in my list of installed software?

i prefer using the windows utility and not manufacture programs, seems to work better for me.
Did you install the WPC with the software on the disc?
what you could try is removing the linksys utility and install it through the windows prompts and direct it to the CD

Connect the device to the wireless network and it should retain the settings
