Cannot connect to WebUI or SSH

    I have a strange problem with 2 WRT54G routers running Tomato firmware.

    After some time (It could be minutes or a few days) it becomes impossible to connect to WebUI or SSH on either router. The only way to be able to reconnect is to unplug the router and plug the power back in.
    Tryting to access the WebUI will give an error saying "Failed to connect" (Firefox) and trying SSH will give an error saying "The server unexpectedly closed the connection" (Putty)

    I have noticed that if I maintain a constant connection to the WebUI it will keep working however this is impractical.

    Both routers are in different locations with different internet connections.
    Both routers do the same thing with either Tomato 1.27 or 1.28

    The issue did not occur in relation to any setting change or firmware upgrade, it seems to have just happened for no reason.

    I have tried a full reset however the problem still remains.

    Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this and a solution?
