Hello, i just updated my WRT54G from 3.03.6 to 4.20.7 and now I cannot connect from my wireless laptop. As I was going thru all my settings on the router I noticed that the WPA Pre Shared selection I used to use under Wireless Security has been replaced w/ WPA Personal,WPA Enterprise etc. Windows XP does not have an option for this in it's wireless network settings even after I updated it with the wpa udpdate on windows website. How can I get my laptop to work with this new encryption? Any help would be appreciated.

Try the WPA Personal and the TKIP combination on your router. Also, did you do a reset of your router after upgrading your firmware (by holding the reset button down for about a minute and then powering off and back on again)? Resetting is required to ensure that the firmware loads properly, but you do have to totally re-configure the router after this step. Does your wireless card have an updated driver on the web that you can download? Finally, have you tried WEP (just as a troubleshooting measure to see if it works--not as a permanent solution, since WEP is fairly easily hacked)?
