    Hello All,

I have just installed my BEFSR41 V3 router and i have 3 pc's that can access the internet ok. I can even send files via MSN messanger to one another and its incredibly fast!

The only problem is that i cannot get File sharing to work. I tried pinging the pc's and i can never get one to ping another. It keeps timing out.

I have gone through the file and print sharing wizard but no luck.

Any suggestions woudl be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

    Dean

If you are running a firewall on your clients, make sure they have been set to allow File and Printer Sharing. The simplest would be to disable it altogether.

    Try enabling NetBIOS.

I have the same problem except I am using 2 WRT54G's with WDS. I can not ping the computer connected to the router acting as the repeater. I am also unable to get the file and printer sharing to work.

    Any ideas??

I am able to ping the remote router, I just can't ping the client. The client is using XP. The windows firewall is off and Netbios is enabled. I have the remoter router working with WDS in AP mode. The client is wired to the remote router. The client can see the other computers on the network and share the files.

Would signal strength have anything to do with it? The signal is low, however it will connect to the network and internet.

    Any help!!
