Cannot Use the PCI Adapter for WRT54G

I just bought a new HP Desktop today, with Windows Vista 64-bit. I was hoping it would be as simple to set up the network as it was on my old XP-using Dell. Alas, not the case.

Now, the details. My router is a WRT54G, v5, and I am using the PCI antenna adapter. My OS is Vista, 64-bit. I have tried to install the drivers (software) using the linksys CD for it, though it seems to have made no difference. Under the Device Manager, I don't see any software relating to the PCI card. My broadband connection, however, is listed, though when I try to connect to it, it fails. Of course, Windows fail to see any problem.

If anyone has some suggestions, hints, things I need to check, or driver links, it would be very much appreciated! I happen to like the internet :)
