Hi, can anyone help me, a while ago I upgraded my NSLU2 to UNSLUG 6.8 and it worked great! Just in the last week though I can no longer connect to it via my Mac or Xbox, I can't even get to the web admin screen, it boots up fine and the proper lights show up on it, but I can't connect to it at all.

What can I do to get it back?

I have tried unplugging it and resetting it but holding down the reset until it beeps and still nothing!

Any other network problems or changes?
Has the IP address changed? Try pinging.
Check your network components - router etc.
Try connecting the SLUG directly to your PC and ping.

No network changes, Tried pinging and get "No route to host" "Host Down" error.

Tried plugging directly and ping says the same thing.

Funny thing is the ethernet light on the NSLU2 blinks when I ping.

    What else can I do?

Use the SetUp Utility on the installation CD to find the slug and check/reconfig the address - it may take a while, if you are lucky.

If that doesn't work - some ideas:

Does your router see the slug, and has it assigned an IP for it with DHCP?
You should be able to configure the router to assign a fixed IP address to the SLUG using the MAC address. Do that and reboot the router et al.

If all else fails do a factory reset, and use the setup CD.

Hi, I tried everything and nothing worked. Then I held reset for 2 seconds to reset the IP, and BAM it worked!! Wierd, because I tried that before but at least it's back, whew!!
