Can't get port triggering to work on new GS firmware

I've been using port forwarding on my WRT54GS to open port 6112 for Battle.net so my son can host Warcraft 3 games. I decided to try port triggering in the new GS firmware instead and it does not work for me. Has anyone used triggering on the new firmware and gotten it to work? I have the computer configured with a static IP address and I would assume that that is ok for port triggering ?
    Thanks

RE: have you tried just port forwarding?

I've been using port forwarding since I connected the GS a couple of months ago and it works fine. I used to use Port Triggering on my BEFSR41 and it worked fine.

I do have a question on the Port Triggering set up page. There is a entry labled "triggering range " and "forwarded range" ( I don't remember having the "forwarded range" on my BEFSR41set up page) on the port triggering setup page. I assume that the ports need to be entered for both these columns, which is how I'm configuring port triggering. Is this correct or should I just be entering the port number for "triggering range"?

The difference between Port Forward and Port Trigger is that the latter requires outbound traffic on a specific port (or ports) in order to "trigger" the inbound port(s) to be opened.

Notice also that Port Triggering does not specify an IP address to forward the ports to, i.e., once opened inbound traffic can reach any computer on the network.

Looks like port forwarding is the only way to go for Battle.net game hosting. The only reason I wanted to try triggering was for the little bit of added security...and the fact that it's now available for the 54GS.
    Thanks for the replies,
