    Networking newbie here...!

First off, I tried searching, but I wasn't very successful getting a straight answer to my problem.

So anyway, I installed my router, and both my wired desktop and wireless notebook access the internet just fine after running the Linksys setup CD. Now, I'd like to setup filesharing and printer sharing as well. As per the Linksys instructions, I type in that http://192.168.1.1 address and enter admin as the password (leaving username blank), but I can't get in. Unauthorised user...? What's wrong here?

    TIA

    It´s easy!
Make a reset on the back side of the WRT. After this, you can login with http:/192.168.1.1
    and password `admin`

My router is version 3, so I believe the reset button is on the front. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I tried resetting, and I still can't log in. What's wrong here???

I have a WRT54G v2 and it may be different, but the default username is, "linksys" and the password is, "admin." You may want to at least give it a try. I hope it helps.

on the version 3 there is a eay setup button in the front. so you have been pressing the wrong button.
