Change of ISPs and whether my setup will work

After buying a Linksys AG241 and a Linksys WRT54GL separately (this week) as a sort of "future-proof" thing (if I change ADSL to some other technology, I can still use the WRT) I've come across a snag. I want to change to an ISP that does not use PPPoE, only "EthoA (also known as RFC 2684 or RFC 1483) in bridged mode" (from ISP's page). They say a modem/router which supports this and DHCP will work.

My question is: can I use my AG241 in "bridged mode only" and set Tomato's settings to "DHCP" instead of the current PPPoE to make this work? Or do I have to setup the AG241 to RFC 1483 bridge and end up with the WRT not being able to work properly in terms of port forwarding and such?

In case I'm reaching Portuguese readers, the ISP I want to change to is Vodafone.

    Thanks for any insight!
