OK...I've looked everywhere. I've given up on my GS..it's a brick...smoke and all. Anyway, I have a WRT54G ver. 2 that currently has HyperWRT on it. I'd like to switch to DD-WRT. The DD-WRT instructions say to switch back to Official Linksys before flashing with DD-WRT. How do I do that ?? I've looked and I'm at a loss. Thanks.

Download the standard firmware from www.linksys.com for your router, go to the firmware upgrade page, and select the file you've downloaded.

Then you'll be on Official Linksys, and you can load DD-WRT from there.

Thanks.....for some reason I thought there was more to it. All done and running on DD-WRT now. I was a little gun shy after bricking my GS this morning.

Thanks for the reply. I was well past that debricking procedure when all the LAN LED's and the SES button LED's came on and stayed on....along with the still flashing power LED. I've tried all of the pin shorting tricks I can find. I'm pretty sure it's dead. Thanks again.

flashing power and all other led's solid is not a good place to be in, i have had a couple of router's like that(they are hubs now) that were unrecoverable

HI, I would be interested in a bricked unit to investigate recovery options. I can pay for shipping, if you are interested, and if am successful you can have the unit back.

    Let me know, Thanks
