I found this in one of the other forums

    nvram set lan_netmask=255.255.0.0
    nvram commit
    reboot

Is this a valid method for changing a WRT54GL to 255.255.0.0?

It is currently setup with ToFu 13c as an access point.

    Thanks

This may seem like a silly question but, what is the need to set the lan mask to a "class b" vs what is comes as by default?

My clients network, which is in Florida and Georgia, is setup this way. I had no control in what their IT team did in the creation of this network. I was paid to add secure wireless to the Atlanta office.

The GUI restricts settings to between 255.255.255.0 and 255.255.255.252
