I joined this group just about a year ago as I need custom software to create a long distance link. After some trial and error I landed on dd-wrt #22 Prefinal4.

It has worked well as one end of a 3/4 mile link, which was running on Version 3 hardware.

This weekend I needed to change the channel from number 6 to number 1. It is easy to do this in the wireless setting page on the access point end, using standard Linksys software.

It was not easy in dd-wrt #22 prefinal4. Once the AP end had been changed, the client would not connect. It would not see the AP in the site survey.

The solution was to update to ddt-wrt 22 final. It now changes channel correctly.

This may be old news but I could not find it by searching.
