Chilli / Samba / NSLU2

I just apologized to my Wife for being a Geek all day. She replied, "You mean all weekend". Good thing she loves me!

A tip of the hat to Brainslayer for all his work.

Regarding a Chilli captive portal implementation.

Seems like it would be possible to set up a Samba link to a NSLU2 and eliminate the server requirement. Then you would only need to connect to a radius server for authentication.

Or perhaps a Samba link to a SD card? Could this be a real stand alone captive portal?

    Anyone care to weigh in?

possible is everything. dd-wrt does also support the new SD-Card/MMC Card hardware mod and mounts it to a special directory. but nothing will work with own modifications to chilli etc.

I have successfuly married few NSLU2s with few WRT54Gs, and they work flawlesly. It is a good combination of harware.
