Trying to mount a CIFS share through my DNS-323 NAS, the share works with Windows Vista with Username/Password provided.

The Linksys throws up this error:

    Code:
    user.err kernel: CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -1
I've tried to find the meaning of this error. Any assistance is much appreciated.

I think thats the problem! I had nearly same problems with WRT54/Tomato and NSLU2(Samba 2.x). I upgraded to Samba ver. 3.0x and everything is ok now. But i dont know if you can upgrade samba ?!

Thanks for the lead der_Kief, I followed some advice at the DNS-323 Wiki, under the heading "How to make the dns-323 work with UNC paths".

This did the trick! Although now I can't access the DNS-323 directly to view a list of the shares as a guest. Nevermind, halfway there :)
