CIFS with Ubuntu 8.04

I set up my WRT54GL (ver 1.1) with Tomato today after comcast's announcement of bandwidth caps. I'd like to have the router dump bandwidth usage logs onto my local server, which runs Ubuntu 8.04.

I set up a shared folder on the Ubuntu box with gnome's GUI, and two of my windows computers can connect to it just fine. Tomato, on the other hand, refuses to connect, but leaves me with this helpful gem in the log:
    Code:
    CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -6

Yes, I'm using the server's (static) IP address.
Yes, the username and password are correct.
Yes, the account has read/write permission.
    Yes, the folder exists.
    Yes, NAT Loopback is enabled.
Yes, I have tried replacing the back slashes with forward slashes.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

    Edit: Thanks
