CIT200 USB Base Station loses connection

If I connect my CIT200 base station to a powered USB2.0 hub my connection will fail after a few hours, although the base station will stay live indefinitely when connected to an unpowered USB1.0.

The USB2.0 hub is connected to my laptop via a pcmcia USB2.0 adaptor, whereas the USB1.0 connects direct to the laptop.

Any suggestions why the base station fails on USB2.0?

Could it be the pcmcia adaptor requires a newer driver (although I think I have the most up-to-date there is)?

Are there differences between USB2.0 and USB1.0 as far as "line" quality is concerned?

Sorry ... all questions ... no answers

your problem may be that your laptop can't provide sufficiant power for the cit200 base. unless your pcmcia card has an external power supply ie a link to the keyboard port or another usb port.

the spec for the pcmcia port only allows for about 200mA
