Client can't connect to workgroup

    I have the WAG54G modem router on a wireless network. I have the desktop as the main server and am running a laptop as the client. I can connect to the internet fine with both computers but when I try and do file sharing, I can't get into the workgroup computers through the laptop. I used to have it set up with a different router (D-link) and have done everything the same but can't get anywhere.
    IP config gives the connection-specific dns suffix. domain_not_set.invalid
    I can ping the IP address of 192.168.1.1 fine. I am running windows XP professional on both computers.

    Any ideas/solutions are greatly accepted :eek:)
