    Hello everybody,

Well, I have developed a client - server application and I have used WiFi communication between them.

Now, I want my application to be able to connect to more than one servers (NOT on the same time). In order to do that I installed three linksys access points (1 x WAP54G and 2 x WAP4400N) in a distance that noone interferes with the other. All three access points have the same IP address (default IP) and all my server applications have the same IP address. The IP address of my client application belongs to the same network with the servers.

The only modification that I have done to the access points was to change their SSID name. When I have tested the whole application I have realized that I took a lot of time for the PC to jump to the available network (about 2-4 minutes).

In order to solve that I changed the SSID of each access point and I used the same name for each one in my tests. Then, I have concluded that it did not take the client so much time to find the available network and connect to the server.

After all these, I would like to ask everyone if from his/her experience, my second approach (same SSID name) is "theory" correct. Do you thing that it accidentally worked?

Thanks a lot for your time
    Hyacinth
