Is there a command (via ssh for example) I can issue to clear the list of known clients tomato displays under Status>Device List?

You mean to revoke all the DHCP leases?

it's not that simple. the device list is agregated from several sources amongst them the output of the arp command, the static dhcp lease file and the dynamic dhcp lease file which is stored in ram. so to accomplish this you have to clear out the arp table - for which there isn't a single command, so you have to work out a script - and restart dnsmasq to delete the dynamic lease file. if you also delete the static lease file it's gone and won't emerge by simply restart dnsmasq.
maybe you might not be quick enough to beat the re-population of the arp table.
i didn't test this all of this as i don't see the point, but if you want to try be my guest ......
