Compile help

    Hi Guys,
    I been trying to find any tutorial for noob on how to compile shiffy firmware v120 with minidlna-1.1.3, minidlna-1.1.2-thumbnail.patch and samsung-series-d.patch. I am running Ubuntu and windows 7. however i have no luck finding the correct information. Your help is appreciated, Thank you.

    All the dependencies and such are listed on this faq...


    Once you have all those installed, and mirrored the Git repo and switched to whatever branch, the next important step is to symlink the broadcom driver directory in your /opt dir.... Also it will need to be in your PATH, otherwise any build attempt will fail.

    I'm not sure if it was just the branch I used or what, but I had to do add "AUTOCONF=: AUTOHEADER=: AUTOMAKE=: ACLOCAL=:" to my make command because of an issue with make, CVS and timestamps causing an aclocal error. So mine looked like:

    Better way would be to use autoreconf, minidnla by the way is a b%#%$ to compile.. So take your time

    Yes you are rigth its a b$#%& to compile. I give up! I even tried to patch for my tv but couldnt make it happen so now i am just hoping update firmware will have it.. will love to have thumbnail preview on my tv. Oh well, thanks for the help

    minidlna 1.1.3 was not stable for me. Version 1.1.2 is more stable and much faster - tested myself. This is why i didn`t upgrade minidlna in v120 and will not upgrade in next release.

    Its good to know.. all i am trying to achive is thumbnail on my tv, i know minidlna has reales some pathes. Would it be posible to add them on the futur release?
