    Good evening :)

I'm havin trouble getting knowledge how to compile an appliaction for my tomato "branded" router.
I need dvbsnoop (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/pr...atest/download&ts=1359738377&use_mirror=ignum) for my router.

In this tar i only find a make-file. In fact i never dealed with linux before but it seems that i have to compile this app before i can use it. I havent found binaries anywhere for MIPSEL and uclibc :(

Has anyone experience in compiling something like that? Can somebody do this?

    Thanks in advance

Oh you think you can compile that?

Well infact, you are shibby20 - God of tomato :) *worship* i really have to say a HUGE THANK YOU - you're firmware for my Asus RT N66U is amazing. In fact english is a foreign language for me, so sorry if something sounds strange :)

I appreciate your help! Really :)

This is going to be REALLY painful to run on a router - the CPU and memory requirements are far too high for it to be practical.

That having been said - where are you sourcing the stream from that you want to snoop?

i hope it will run on my Asus RT N66U :(

In fact i want to measure Bandwith of broadcasted packets on my local docsis-carrier chanels (Kabel Deutschland). You can create via RRDtools e.g. charts, showing the used/max bandwith for a specific chanel. Its a kind of broadband-meassureing project :)

http://fda.ath.cx/csl/ <-- here you can see an example. Running there is not a router but a Rasperry PI :)

I was bored with nothing to do, so I've copiled dvbsnoop.
It's a static compile, so it should theoretically run fine on any mipsel device with any firmware.
I've uploaded it to my site under Binaries.

*Anakin Skywalker Episode 1 Style* It's Working! IT'S WORKING!!! :)

    MAANY Thanks to you lancethepants.

In fact, i'm now in trouble with: Error(6): /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0: No such device or address <--- dvr0? Never heard of that device. It might be that he needs the dvb-tools :( but i'm checking that atm
