I was looking at the data sheet for this information, but it only seems to list the number of concurrent VPN connections. Basically what I'm wondering, at what point will I be pushing this unit (RV042) too far? How many concurrent connections in general can this device support? I have about 100 users at any given time pushing traffic in and out of this device. I'm curious at what point I'd outgrow this unit. That being said, How many concurrent TCP/UDP connections can this device support in general?

I don't think I've ever seen the maximum number of concurrent sessions for the RV042 or the RV082 published any place. The closest I've ever seen for anything about sessions is this in the Troubleshooting Appendix of the manual:
That quote seems to be boiler plate that makes it to many of the RV manuals. The same number is quoted in the RV082 manual.

Edge-Core sold a router, the VR-100, that seemed identical to the RV082. It was EoLed just this February. You can look up the dataspecs for it and the VR-50 model, also EoLed, which seems very similar to the RV042 except the VR-50 only has one WAN port and one dedicated DMZ port, here: http://www.edge-core.com/edge/product.php The specs for their VR-100 say it can handle 20000 concurrent sessions while those for the VR-50 say it only handles 12000. Note the last firmware for the VR-50 was VR50_1.3.0.3-ec_061201.rmt

So I guess this doesn't really answer your question, but the Edge-Core data might be applicable to the RV-series.
