Configuration of VPN on RV082

    Good evening,

I know that I am new, and that my topic is one that has probably been beaten to death already, but I recently brought in an RV082 for a client, after he had his network hacked. We are in the middle of trying to configure vpn access from his remote locations to his headquarters (all small retail shops) and this looked to be a viable solution.

What I'm running into is that the only apparent way we can connect the remote stores to the main office is to either buy new routers (we have WRT54G's in all stores now, so this is not an option) or to go through the microsoft snap ins and create the policies, then launch on each individual machine.

Can someone tell me if there is an available "VPN" add-in for the windows networking client to allow me to just set when they want to connect? It would be quite appreciated.

    Thx,

There are a couple of ways. You could use the PPTP client built into Windows and setup PPTP on the RV082 or use QuickVPN n the clients.

Thanks Toxic for the quick reply....

I thought things over a bit, and went the route of configuring the IPSEC tunnels through the MMC snap in.. been running into issues, but now I'm at least starting to see my connection on the list that it is connected, but cannot actually hit a machine on the inner subnet. I take it this is because I need to set routes, correct?
