    hi everyone,
    heres a newbie question.

    can i connect my wired lan to a wireless router (wrtg54g) using another WRT54G?

    wired lan->WRT54G 1 ----wireless---- -> WRT54G 2->adsl->internet

    The range would be about 300ft between WRT54G 1 and WRT54G 2.

    This would be used temporarily to connect the wired lan to the internet in the event of outage on the wired lan internet connection.

    thank you.

    Yup, it will work fine, look up how to set up client bridge mode.

    This will only work if WRT54G 1 does not have wireless clients.

    Alternatively, you can use a wds setting and have both wired, and wireless clients on both WRT54G's.

    If you have any problems, let me know. I have set this up many times.

    thank you

    thanks for the response.

    be patient with me please.

    WRT54G 1 will connect to WRT54G 2 via wireless.

    so WRT54G 2 will be a wireless client of WRT54G 1, does this help?

    Where can i get details on setting this up?

    Thank you.
