    Hi there,

I've bought a second WRT54GC to connect on the first one.
    It should looks like :
    internet -- WRT54GC1 )) (( WRT54GC2 -- PC1&2
    with -- wire & ))(( wifi

I cannot connect the two devices together but that should be possible as they are sold as access point too...

Does any one have an idea on how to configure it ? I may have missed somthing...

    get WAP54G on playstation side
    use AP client
and WRT side need to temp enable SSID broadcast to let WAP to pick up the router info
you may add your PS2's LAN MAC into MAC filter list
if you modified your WRT, do this
one is AP mode, the other is "station"
put the SSID of the AP

The problem is WRT54GC is one of those new fangled broadband router appliances that does not support GPL 3rd party firmware. As such, it cannot be reconfigured to support running in client mode nor bridge-AP mode.

I have been able to make it talk to another WRT54G v2.2 using HyperWRT 2.1b1 (I used Tofu 6.2 then) by following the instructions in http://www.genslernet.com/hyperwrt/ so it seems the WRT54GC can talk to a WDS bridge.

    then he should consider WAP54G
the AP client mode works with my netgear WGT624 perfectly

I am more partial towards getting a WRT54G v4 or earlier, and then flashing it with HyperWRT :thumb:

He has the option of running it as an AP or a bridge or a client or a bridge-AP, or even a broadband router in the future - and probably at a lower cost (as long as you don't pick up a v5)
