i followed all the instructions at this site to load a ftp program on my ps2. everything boots up and i get the screen that says : "ps2 ip 192.168.0.10 netmask 255.255.255.0 gateway ip 192.168.0.1 FTP server initialized on port 21..." but when i try to connect to my ps2 ip my connection times out. is there something i have to do in my router to allow connections to my ps2?
YOu dn't need to forward any ports for that, i've got that ftp server working... What is your computers ip? is it in the 192.168.0.x range? do you have a link light on your router where the PS2 is connected?
in my router page it says my local ip address is 192.168.1.1, there's another entry in the router page called starting ip address 192.168.1.100, and when i go to ip chicken it tells me my ip is 24.176.208.234.
ok will your on a different subnet than your PS2 thats why you can't connect to it... let me check what file you have to edit...
I blieve config.dat contains the IP your PS2 gets it should start with 192.168.1.xxx alternatively you can change your internal IP range to be 192.168.0.xxx on the linksys config page in the web admin screen.
