Discussion in 'Networking Issues' started by ketanchampaneria, Oct 22, 2010.

  1. What IP address do I use for both routers the default is 192.168.1.1; What should the other router be?

How do I setup the Advanced Routing section?

You will first need to tell us what firmware you are using before we can suggest something to you. Off hand I suggest your other wireless router not use the same subnet of 192.168.1.1. There are lots of tutorials for bridged wireless connections around.

access control for Internet usage, application control (blocking and scheduling), spam control and identity protection. you can consider a hardware and software security combo box to connect and protect your home network,

Hey could you point me to some of those tutorials please?

I am trying to use two routers to share internet...i am using the Linksys WRT54G as the main router thats connected to the modem, and the 2nd router which recieves the signal is a D-Link (DIR-600). I have setup the DIR-600 to be just an accesspoint but i havent had any success as yet ...
