I recently received a new 4 port wired DSL router from my ISP to eliminate connection drops. However, I cannot figure out how to get my wireless router to work with the wired router. The technician said it would need to be set up as a bridge. What are the steps to do this? The wired router is Netopia brand. Thank you rp
That should be easy: I did it like this: Router 1 (connected to DSL) connected to the UPLINK of the WRT54. Router 1 is 192.168.1.1 (255.255.255.0) WRT54 Internet connection can be dynamic (DHCP), if Router 1 has DHCP enabled or with static IP ( one like 192.168.1.2, std getaway 192.168.1.1) On the wrt54 's Client side I configured 192.168.2.1 and enabled DHCP. So router 1 just manages the DSL modem and the WRT54 "is" my network. With such a setup you can connect multiple wRTs to one router and have a subnet for each regards HoM
