Connecting WRT54GS to Apple Airport Extreme

Hi, all. Apology in advance that I'm a networking newbie and don't know the difference between an access point or bridge. I've been searching forums for two days and still am not sure I'm looking for the right stuff. I'm sure I found the right place.

I just installed a new Airport Extreme Router as my main router. It is working great and everything connected works just fine. However, I have a couple of Tivos with external Linksys USB Wireless B adapters and these are so old they can't connect to the new router due to security features. Can I take my WRT54GS v6 (with latest Linksys firmware v1.52.5) and connect it to the Airport for internet access. Then have the Tivo adapters connect to the Linksys wirelessly which will get Internet access through the Airport? If so, is this a bridge, gateway, something else? Argh!

My preference would be to connect the two routers wirelessly but it could be wired if absolutely necessary.

I really don't know where to start so any specifics would be very, very much appreciated.
