Connection Issues with my WRT54G v 2.2

    Hey everyone.

I recently purchased this router and am having a hard time with it. There are frequent connection drops and often times I must restart one of the machines on the network just to get it to renew the DHCP address.

When I say connection, I do not mean my internet connection, I mean my wireless connection. I have a comcast cable internet connection and three computers all wirelessly connected to my network.

Once the connection dies, it dies for all the computers. Even resetting the router has limited effectiveness.

I have read on this forum of third party firmware and am considering this option, yet I do not know which one to use. I am using the latest firmware from linksys and still having troubles.

I have a theory that my connection drops are coming from the cordless phones in the house, however I am unsure if this is possible.

    Can anyone please help?

Your not alone with this problem with the v2.2.... no real answer has been found out yet.

Is it happening with all routers?

    Or just certain ones?

Is there a running list of variables associated with the problem?

    Nevermind I found the thread.
