constant disconnects on WPA

Hi, 'm certain this must be a frequent issue, so here goes

I have the WRK54G (running on XP), which I hear is the european twin for the WRT54G.

Now, for unsecured wireless, everything is fine, but every time I try to put WPA up, it throws me off the network at constant intervals, which seem to be the same as the Group Renewal Key time... and no, I cannot set it to 0, only 600~3200.

Does any1 know how to handle this issue? It's really annoying to have an unprotected network going here... Thx

I have exactly the same problem .. it works only with security set to "Disabled".. I'll try the hotfix howardp6 mentioned and let you know if it works. My wireless NIC is WPC54G ver.4

The fix worked for me too. Thanks! :)

EDIT: It seemed to work but ... unfortunately it does not.
I've tried everything I can think of with no success.. Now it completely stopped to work.. It even can't see the AP ..
I'm totally disappointed with this thing .. So .. it seems that the only solution so far is this: Get rid of this crap asap and buy a wifi card by another manufacturer..

I am having the same problem. Happens all the time and the WPA2 fix did not resolve it.

    Any other ideas?
