Constant drops with Bittorrent & Talisman 1.04

I have gotten all of my router/QoS issues worked out as of lately, but I am having one last problem that is a major pain in the ass.. Whenever I download p2p stuff from my bittorrent client (azureus), my connection drops every couple of hours. If i am uploading very fast, it drops much much more often - every 10-15 minutes. I have been able to survive by keeping things capped at a low speed, but its not very convenient and i HATE instability.

When I mean drops, the router seems to simply reboot itself. I cannot get to the status page from the wired or wireless ports. When I do get back into the router, the uptime says 0 minutes.

I have checked my BT client settings, and only allow a max of 100 global connections. My usage on the router is also very low.

    FYI I am using Freeman 1.04 on a WRT54G 3.0

Looking for advice - I really like the QoS and other features.. but the instability is horrid.

Try disabling Log under administration tab.

You need to add a few lines to your startup script which lower the nat translation timeout values as the router is trying to track too many! (cant remember the exact lines, im sure someone here can herp ;) )

this works in Alchemy, I imagine it'll be the same for that. Goes in rc_startup. You can play with gc_thresh values too if you like, but I found it just made matters worse.

    sysctl -w net.ipv4.ip_conntrack_tcp_timeouts="600 1800 120 60 120 120 10 60 30 120"
